The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tinkelbery looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Maia.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maia.

Tinkelbery forces Maia back against the cage and clinches.
Tinkelbery manages to break the clinch.
Maia tries for a takedown but Tinkelbery sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Maia is trying to stand up here but Tinkelbery is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tinkelbery remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Tinkelbery slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tinkelbery wants to control from the top but Maia keeps moving.
Maia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tinkelbery doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tinkelbery manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tinkelbery content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Maia has locked up a guillotine! Maia's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Tinkelbery is holding on here and Maia must be using up a lot of energy. Tinkelbery has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Maia gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
