The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leilui throws a series of punches but Carano avoids them all with ease.

Leilui gets the takedown into side control.

Carano takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Leilui creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Carano lands a left and a right that send Leilui crashing to the mat, dazed. Carano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Matiu Leilui has been cut.
Carano is looking to clinch.

Leilui sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Carano connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Leilui tumbling to the canvas! Carano pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Leilui was done - good stoppage!
