Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Birger Gagnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon doesn't manage to clinch there - Gagnum circles away.

Gagnum shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cannon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gagnum trying to control the position from guard on top but Cannon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cannon can't keep his opponent in guard - Gagnum advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Cannon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gagnum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cannon tries to roll over but Gagnum keeps him under control.

Gagnum seems to be looking for submissions.

Gagnum is working for a kimura but Cannon is defending it quite comfortably.

Gagnum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cannon sees it coming and defends easily.
Cannon pushes Gagnum off looking to stand but Gagnum dives back in and keeps control.
Cannon is refusing to be controlled, as Gagnum sits in half guard.
Gagnum is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cannon is trying to control but can't.

Cannon trying to get back to full guard but Gagnum takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Gagnum with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Cannon tries to lock up and control but Gagnum gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gagnum is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cannon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gagnum wants to finish this one by submission but Cannon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gagnum.

Gagnum working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Cannon turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gagnum off and cradles Cannon's limp body as Gagnum celebrates with his corner.
