Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Smythe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mortimer Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke has chosen Pink Floyd - Money as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke moves in looking to clinch but Smythe pushes him off.
Duke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Duke shoots for a double leg takedown but Smythe sprawls well. He's pushed Duke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smythe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Duke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smythe swivels and escapes.
Smythe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Duke looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smythe is fending him off so far but Duke persists. Nope, Smythe circles away and we're back to standing.

Duke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

letting Smythe counter with a right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smythe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Duke wants a takedown but no success here.
Duke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smythe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duke to the mat! Duke manages to get full guard.

Smythe gets to his feet. Duke looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
