Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beefsauce looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? fitch is fending him off so far but Beefsauce persists. Nope, fitch circles away and we're back to standing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as fitch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
fitch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beefsauce swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Beefsauce looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Beefsauce is trying to control the position from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Beefsauce has taken the fight to the clinch.
fitch takes an elbow to the temple.
fitch has Beefsauce pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Beefsauce manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Horrible takedown by fitch or perhaps it was just good defense by Beefsauce which made him look bad.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to john fitch.
