Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liopaldo Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buford Tannen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tannen has chosen 1885 Theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tannen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Martinez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Martinez shoots for a double leg takedown but Tannen sprawls well. He's pushed Martinez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Horrible takedown by Martinez or perhaps it was just good defense by Tannen which made him look bad.

Martinez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tannen.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd cheers as Tannen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Martinez doesn't seem phased though.

Tannen wants to stand but Martinez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Martinez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tannen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tannen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tannen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Martinez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tannen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tannen cracks Martinez with a hook to the temple - Martinez is on wobbly legs here! Tannen swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Martinez falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Tannen wins by TKO!
