The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Zorin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zorin throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Zorin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zorin.

Zorin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson forces his way into half guard.
Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Jackson is looking for a kimura but Zorin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jackson to get the leverage.
Zorin tries to get to full guard but Jackson has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Zorin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Zorin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Zorin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jackson thows a big elbow that misses.

Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Zorin throws a low kick, looking for Jackson's leg but Jackson calmly moves out of range.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zorin as he avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Zorin throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.

Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.

Zorin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jackson passes into side control.
Zorin is breathing heavily.
Jackson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Zorin takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Jackson lands a decent elbow from side control.
Zorin is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zorin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jackson but great work by Zorin.
