Abbott comes to the cage accompanied by Cigarettes And Alcohol. Pilaf has chosen chinese rap as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rice Pilaf!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott connects with a nice looking jab.

Pilaf has managed to clinch.
Still in the clinch, Pilaf scores with a nice short uppercut.
Pilaf is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Abbott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Abbott gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Abbott wants to break free but Pilaf has control.

Pilaf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice defenses there by Pilaf.
Abbott cracks Pilaf with a right hand to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pilaf closes the distance and clinches.
A shot in the inside from Pilaf.
Pilaf lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Abbott has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pilaf keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Abbott's efforts to push away.

Pilaf pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abbott throws a jab when Pilaf was well out of range.

Abbott clinches up against the cage.
Pilaf controlling the action here for a moment.
Pilaf throws a punch but it's blocked by Abbott.

Abbott manages to break the clinch.
Pilaf moves out of range as Abbott strikes.
Abbott tries to clinch but Pilaf moves away
and Pilaf counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Frank Abbott has been cut.
Pilaf misses with a looping left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbott with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Abbott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pilaf ducks under a wild hook from Abbott.

Pilaf darts in and clinches Abbott up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pilaf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Pilaf breaks the clinch.
Pilaf misses with a body shot.
Frank Abbott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A big left from Abbott misses.
Pilaf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Abbott.

Pilaf feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Abbott sprawling to the canvas! Abbott rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pilaf finish him?!


Abbott is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pilaf throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Abbott sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Abbott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right from Pilaf misses.
Abbott seems to have got his legs back now.
Abbott doesn't manage to clinch there - Pilaf circles away.
Pilaf tries to close the distance and clinch but Abbott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pilaf throws a hook but Abbott avoids it easily.
Abbott closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Pilaf to counter with a crisp jab.

Pilaf takes the fight into the clinch.

Pilaf's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abbott listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Abbott slips under a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pilaf avoids the body shot from Abbott.
Pilaf shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pilaf bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Abbott's head backwards.
Abbott keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pilaf.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pilaf.
Pilaf might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Abbott circles away from the clinch attempt.
Abbott connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pilaf. Pilaf circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pilaf doesn't manage to clinch there - Abbott circles away.
Abbott listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Pilaf gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No luck for Pilaf with that takedown attempt.
Pilaf looks gassed!
Pilaf takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Abbott throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abbott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abbott lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Abbott scores with a jab to the jaw.
Pilaf misses with a looping right.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pilaf throws a hook to the side of Abbott's head but Abbott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pilaf swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Abbott lunges at Pilaf with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pilaf's hand.
Pilaf defending well as Abbott loads up on a big left hand.
Abbott is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Pilaf takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Abbott fails with an attempt to clinch.

Abbott takes the fight into the clinch.
Abbott wants to get back to striking at distance but Pilaf won't allow it.
Pilaf can't break the clinch.
Abbott tries to break free but Pilaf pushes him back against the cage.

Abbott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abbott lands with a right that hurts Pilaf. Pilaf looks to clinch but Abbott throws a short knee that drops Pilaf. This one is all over!
