The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jenkins misses with a series of wild punches.
jenkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
MazZo shoots for a takedown but jenkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by MazZo.
MazZo working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

MazZo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
jenkins throws a nice looking combination but MazZo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
jenkins misses with a wild combination.

jenkins stops a takedown attempt from MazZo.

MazZo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. MazZo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
MazZo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for jenkins!

MazZo looking for a guillotine from mount but jenkins is having none of it.
MazZo unloads with some shots from mount but jenkins bucks and avoids them well.
jenkins is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

jenkins is squirming around, avoiding MazZo's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

MazZo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

MazZo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. jenkins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

MazZo is trying to control here but jenkins has managed to regain half guard.

jenkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
MazZo fails with a takedown attempt.
lerroy jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mano MazZo.
jenkins lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
jenkins tries to bum rush MazZo with a series of wild strikes but MazZo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

MazZo has a takedown stuffed.
No joy there for jenkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
MazZo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
jenkins lands with a right that hurts MazZo. MazZo looks to clinch but jenkins throws a short knee that drops MazZo. This one is all over!
