Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antero Vipunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mertsi Svart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vipunen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Onward to Victory. Svart has chosen Muistoissani kuljen tietä mustalaisen as his entrance music. Mertsi Svart has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Antero Vipunen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vipunen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Svart sprawls well initially but Vipunen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vipunen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vipunen is working to tighten is grip on Svart's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Svart has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Vipunen is really squeezing tight and eventually Svart passes out! Vipunen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
