Sackett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

It looks like Dragan Novak has been cut.
Sackett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Novak on the ground.
Novak sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sackett throws a nice looking combination but Novak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sackett tries to bum rush Novak with a series of wild strikes but Novak uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Novak had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sackett is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Novak Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sackett's back instead.

Novak is persistently looking for the submission but Sackett is defending it well.

Sackett breaks Novak's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Sackett wants to stand but Novak is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sackett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sackett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Novak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sackett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
