Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Winston Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herb Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herb Hurt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Winston Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Herb Hurt!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Hurt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hurt doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Steel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Steel tries for a takedown but Hurt manages to get underhooks.
Steel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Steel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hurt throws a series of punches but Steel avoids them all with ease.
Hurt avoids a kick to the body.
Steel slips a jab and a cross from Hurt.
Hurt tries a head kick but it misses.

Steel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hurt to the mat! Hurt manages to get full guard.
Hurt looks gassed!
Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Steel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Steel throws a big right hand that misses.
Steel prevents Hurt from getting back to his feet.
Steel postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Steel drops back looking for a leg! Hurt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hurt manages to kick Steel off! Steel jumps back into Hurt's guard.
Steel thows a big elbow that misses.
Steel is looking to stand up but Hurt won't let him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Steel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Steel is looking to work some ground and pound but Hurt has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Steel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hurt misses with a looping right.
Hurt throws a nice head kick!

Steel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hurt, pushing him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hurt doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hurt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Steel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Steel does no damage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Steel tries to clinch up.
Hurt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A jab from Hurt misses.
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Hurt backpedaling.
Steel is looking to clinch but Hurt is avoiding it.
Hurt throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hurt.
Steel lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Hurt falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
