The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcsmashenstein misses with a body kick.

Norris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mcsmashenstein wants to get back to his feet.

Mcsmashenstein is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Norris asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Norris tries to advance to mount but can't.

Norris shoots for a double leg takedown but Mcsmashenstein sprawls well. He's pushed Norris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Punchy Mcsmashenstein is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcsmashenstein fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Norris manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Mcsmashenstein misses the target.

Mcsmashenstein tries to bum rush Norris with a series of wild strikes but Norris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Norris darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Norris wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcsmashenstein is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Norris stops Mcsmashenstein from getting back to his feet.
