The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obeh slips a jab from Ferone.

Paul Ferone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obeh tries to bum rush Ferone with a series of wild strikes but Ferone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ferone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ferone goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Obeh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ferone finds it's way round the side to connect with Obeh's head.

Obeh will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ferone up against the cage.

Ferone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Obeh counters with a good, hard body kick but Ferone shrugs it off.

Ferone throws a shot from downtown. Obeh moves away and avoids it.
Ferone scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Obeh lands a jab to Ferone's midsection.
Obeh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ferone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Obeh.
Obeh takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Obeh throws a body punch but Ferone moves out of range.

and Obeh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ferone thows a body shot but no joy.
Obeh throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Ferone stumbling backwards into the cage! Ferone bounces back off the cage towards Obeh, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Obeh lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Obeh celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
