PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Blue Dawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blue Dawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Finn McCool!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool throws a leg kick which misses Dawn's front leg but catches the back leg as Dawn tries to avoid it.
Dawn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCool sprawls well. McCool wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dawn gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from McCool.
Dawn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dawn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blue Dawn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCool lands a head kick!

It looks like Blue Dawn has been cut.
McCool moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dawn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCool chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McCool throws a quick inside leg kick.
McCool tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dawn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McCool tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Dawn looking to secure an arm triangle but McCool defends it well.
Dawn is breathing heavily.
McCool is working to get back to half guard.
Dawn pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCool is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
McCool wants to hold on but Dawn pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McCool tries to improve his position but instead Dawn has taken his back!
McCool looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Dawn lands punches and elbows.

Dawn is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. McCool has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dawn has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! McCool taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dawn doesn't care though - he's delighted!
