Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between carlo bangcaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Whitcombe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). carlo bangcaya has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, carlo bangcaya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Whitcombe!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as bangcaya blocks the leg kick.

Whitcombe gets a takedown into half guard.
Whitcombe working bangcaya over with strikes.

Whitcombe stands up out of the half guard.
Whitcombe closes the distance and clinches up with bangcaya, looking for a takedown. Whitcombe pushes bangcaya against the cage but bangcaya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
bangcaya tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Whitcombe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts bangcaya as he jumps to the side.
Whitcombe shoots in but bangcaya avoids the takedown attempt easily.
carlo bangcaya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Whitcombe.
Whitcombe fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Whitcombe looks gassed!
bangcaya lands a head kick!
Whitcombe on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Whitcombe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? bangcaya is fending him off so far but Whitcombe persists. Nope, bangcaya circles away and we're back to standing.
bangcaya lands with a kick to the temple. Whitcombe shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

bangcaya shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
bangcaya postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Whitcombe looks a forlorn figure.

Whitcombe is rocked!
bangcaya misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Whitcombe is still in real trouble! Can bangcaya finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
bangcaya trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Whitcombe seems to have recovered his senses.

bangcaya gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Whitcombe throws a jab when bangcaya was well out of range.
bangcaya shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Whitcombe as he jumps to the side.
bangcaya fails with a takedown attempt.
bangcaya tries to score a power double leg takedown but Whitcombe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten bangcaya somewhat.

bangcaya moves into the clinch.

bangcaya jumps guard and drags Whitcombe to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Whitcombe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Whitcombe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
bangcaya not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
bangcaya keeping moving, preventing Whitcombe from controlling successfully.
bangcaya trying to keep a closed guard but Whitcombe is proving a slippery customer.

Whitcombe gets to his feet - bangcaya follows without any prompting.

bangcaya throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Whitcombe was covering up waiting for the punch and bangcaya finishes the takedown easily into guard.

bangcaya drops back looking for a leg! Whitcombe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Whitcombe manages to kick bangcaya off! bangcaya jumps back into Whitcombe's guard.

Whitcombe has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think bangcaya should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Whitcombe has tightened it up now! bangcaya should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
