PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rik McRae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey McQue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McQue is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Organ Donor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQue is looking to clinch but McRae is avoiding it.

McRae shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McQue is trying to defend but McRae finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McRae looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McRae wants to pass the guard but McQue is defending well.
McRae is keen to just control but McQue is a slippery customer.
McQue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McRae. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fight stays on the outside here - McQue looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McRae decides to pull guard.
McRae keeping moving, preventing McQue from controlling successfully.

McRae throws his legs up looking for a submission but McQue uses it to pass to side control.
McRae is looking to reverse the position.
McRae gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

McRae is pressing down on McQue's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

McRae working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McQue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McQue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McRae has his foot on McQue's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McQue works his way back into a safe position though.

McQue avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McQue wants to control from the top but McRae keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McQue got a little sloppy there for a moment and McRae has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McQue has managed to get both his arms back between McRae's legs - danger averted.
McQue tries to stand but McRae is controlling from the bottom.

McRae is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! McQue rolls with it to try and escape but McRae cranks on the arm and McQue is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
