The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Activin is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tafoya defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Tafoya is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Activin off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Activin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tafoya is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Activin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tafoya's back instead.

Activin has his foot on Tafoya's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tafoya works his way back into a safe position though.

Tafoya tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tafoya has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
