The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paukku stuffs the takedown attempt from Penn. Penn gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paukku creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Penn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Paukku fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Paukku throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Penn's head.
Penn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Paukku sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Penn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Paukku sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Penn somewhat.

Penn shoots in and bounces Paukku off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that BJ Penn will probably get the nod.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to BJ Penn.
