The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with the takedown.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Doe shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Doe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Doe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Doe stands and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Smith reaches up around Doe's neck trying to control. But Doe takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Smith! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Smith is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Doe celebrates the victory with the fans!
