Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel McKillop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKillop comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Quasimoto - Green Power kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel McKillop struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Kenny Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

and McKillop counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
McKillop seems to have recovered his senses.

Smith wants to get back to his feet but McKillop is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKillop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McKillop thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McKillop passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
McKillop is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McKillop looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McKillop wants to work for an arm triangle but Smith is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

McKillop is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
