Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jacko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Latham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Latham comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Frontier Psychiatrist - The Avalanches kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jacko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Latham!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Latham scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like James Jacko has been cut.
Jacko thows a body kick. Latham tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Jacko lands a glancing blow to the side of Latham's head.
Latham throws a jab but it's blocked by Jacko.

Latham looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Latham drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Latham jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Latham got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jacko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Latham has managed to get both his arms back between Jacko's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Jacko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Latham seems to be working for a kimura but Jacko defends the submission attempt.

Jacko is in a horrible position here. Latham smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Latham goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jacko turns into him and now he's in Latham's guard.

Jacko wanted to stand there but Latham had control of the position.
Jacko is looking to work some ground and pound but Latham has wrist control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jacko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Latham takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Latham steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jacko.
Jacko throws a head kick that Latham semi-blocks.
Latham misses with a takedown attempt - Jacko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jacko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Latham is out of range.

Jacko connects with a high kick.
A slow jab from Latham misses its intended target.
Latham takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Latham works Jacko's body with a nice hook.
Jacko is breathing heavily.
Latham throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Latham blocks a head kick by Jacko.
Jacko looks to land a body kick but Latham moved away.
Latham clobbers Jacko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Latham dominated that round.
The cut man is working on James Jacko's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Latham drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jacko controls Latham momentarily but Latham frees himself.

Jacko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Latham tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Latham has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jacko manages to work his way to half guard, despite Latham's best efforts.
Jacko is trying to get back to full guard.

Jacko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Latham pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacko wants to get back to full guard.
Latham tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jacko knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Latham works his way into side control.

Latham looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jacko sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jacko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Latham is working away from the top position though.
Jacko has hold of Latham's hands but Latham slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jacko tries to roll over but Latham keeps him under control.

Latham is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Latham is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Jacko is forced to tap! Great finish!
