Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trendar Mighty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brighton Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mighty throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnston's waist but Johnston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mighty off to one side.
Mighty shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnston pinned against the cage. Johnston gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnston changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mighty looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Johnston landing a few strikes.
It looks like Trendar Mighty has been cut.
Johnston has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Mighty fails with the takedown
and Johnston counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mighty!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trendar Mighty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mighty is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Johnston lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Johnston avoids the attempt from Mighty to control.
Mighty in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnston fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Trendar Mighty's cut is getting worse.
Mighty wants to control but Johnston is having none of it.
Johnston looking to control but Mighty is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Johnston is landing with some decent strikes but Mighty is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
A nice elbow there by Johnston.
Jeez, Trendar Mighty's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Johnston lands a nice shot to the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Trendar Mighty's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
