PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elkerton Scrappypants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by King of my Castle by Wamdue Project. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elkerton Scrappypants!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Elkerton Scrappypants has been cut.
King looks to throw the jab but Scrappypants is out of range.
Scrappypants missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
King slips under a jab.
Scrappypants tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Scrappypants throws a chopping leg kick but King manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
King looks to land a combination but Scrappypants avoids it well.
Scrappypants is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
King lands with a kick to the ribs.
King lands a head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scrappypants avoids the head kick by King.
King misses the jab.
Scrappypants lands with a thumping leg kick.
Scrappypants fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
King lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Scrappypants steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from King. That one must have hurt.
Scrappypants looks gassed!
King comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
King lands with a hook. Scrappypants tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Scrappypants avoids a kick to the body.
Scrappypants dodges the punch combination from King.
King getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

King lands a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A jab from King finds it's way through Scrappypants's defenses.
An inside leg kick lands from King.
King lands a glancing blow to the side of Scrappypants's head.
King cracks Scrappypants with a hook to the temple - Scrappypants is on wobbly legs here! King swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Scrappypants falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! King wins by TKO!
