The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

kimura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Virtane's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
kimura jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Virtane manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Virtane could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

kimura closes the distance looking for a takedown. Virtane stuffs it but kimura still has hold of him. kimura picks Virtane up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. kimura slams Virtane to the floor and that's really hurt Virtane - he doesn't know where he is! kimura throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
