Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matti Koskela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Lukottaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matti Koskela has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koskela tries to clinch up but Lukottaja circles away and keeps his distance.

Lukottaja clinches up against the cage.
Koskela tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Koskela misses with the head strike.
Lukottaja keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Koskela's efforts to push away.

Koskela manages to break the clinch.
Lukottaja ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koskela moves away.

Lukottaja throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Koskela was covering up waiting for the punch and Lukottaja finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Koskela has hold of Lukottaja's hands but Lukottaja slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Koskela wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Koskela misses with a hook to the body

and Lukottaja counters with a shoot takedown. Koskela fights it but they end up in guard.
Koskela knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lukottaja on the ground.

Lukottaja decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Lukottaja counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Koskela's guard now.

Lukottaja has hold of Koskela's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Koskela tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lukottaja cranks the arm and Koskela screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Koskela, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
