The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Montoya fails to land with a series of punches.

Montoya lands an overhand right.

Espandos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Montoya tries to bench press Espandos off him but Espandos keeps the position.
Espandos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Montoya keeps working.
Montoya is looking for a sweep.

Let's hope that Espandos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Hidalgo Montoya will probably get the nod.

Montoya thuds a left hand into Espandos's body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Montoya, as that shot connected.
Espandos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Espandos gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Montoya.
Espandos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Montoya is fending him off so far but Espandos persists. Nope, Montoya circles away and we're back to standing.

Hidalgo Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Espandos.

Espandos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Montoya lands a left and a right that send Espandos crashing to the mat, dazed. Montoya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Montoya drops Espandos with a straight right hand, right on the button! Montoya follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
