Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Freestyler. Georges Penn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Payne swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.

Payne scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Payne throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Payne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Payne throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Penn regains half guard, as Payne was trying to land strikes.

Payne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Penn keeps working.

Payne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.

Payne closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Payne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Penn pushes Payne away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Payne gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Payne swings around for an armbar but Penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Payne's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Payne is looking to sinch up a triangle. Penn throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Payne's body to avoid the submission. Payne has instead reached around Penn's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Payne arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
