PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krayzor Windfather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar comes to the cage accompanied by Antistar (by Massive Attack). Windfather has chosen Danger (feat. Vyle) - 00:01 as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Salazar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krayzor Windfather!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windfather shoots in but no luck this time.
Windfather shoots in but Salazar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Windfather shoots in for a double leg but Salazar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Robbie Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krayzor Windfather.

Windfather feints and as Salazar raises his hands in defense, Windfather changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Salazar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Windfather can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Salazar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Windfather manages to get himself to full guard.

Salazar stuns Windfather with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Windfather ducks right into an uppercut from Salazar.
Windfather dives in and grabs Salazar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salazar pushes down on Windfather's head and hops out.
Salazar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Salazar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Windfather's guard.

Salazar drops back looking for a leg! Windfather is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Windfather manages to kick Salazar off! Salazar jumps back into Windfather's guard.

Salazar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Windfather works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Salazar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Windfather doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salazar.
Well, if Salazar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salazar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Windfather keeps working.

Windfather has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Salazar is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Salazar lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Windfather closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Salazar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Windfather is looking to advance position but Salazar won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Salazar quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Windfather has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Salazar celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
