Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Beckham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood has chosen Enae Volare Mezzo as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wood moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wood blocks the body kick.
Wood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beckham but Beckham pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wood shoots in and drives through. Beckham sprawls well.

Wood fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beckham sprawls well initially but Wood persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wood seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beckham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wood stalks Beckham and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Beckham's face. Beckham staggers backwards, shaken.

Wood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wood lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beckham tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beckham has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beckham wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wood shoots in and drives through. Beckham sprawls well.

and Wood holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

and Beckham counters with a head kick. That will keep Wood thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Beckham circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Wood drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Beckham follows Wood to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
