The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laz throws a sloppy head kick and Kwadwo moves out of range easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kwadwo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Laz just stands there and leans against the cage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kwadwo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Kwadwo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Laz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Laz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Laz!

Laz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kwadwo to his feet.
