The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson avoids the head kick by Jantunen.

The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jantunen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jantunen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jantunen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Jantunen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jantunen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Jantunen eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
