Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vedad Zilic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
brown throws a series of punches but Zilic moves out of range.
brown looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Zilic tries to clinch up but brown circles away and keeps his distance.
Zilic shoots in but brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zilic is defended easily by brown.
brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Zilic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vedad Zilic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Zilic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in brown's guard now.

Zilic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Zilic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on brown, up you get!

Zilic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as brown sprawls well. brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zilic gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Zilic is trying to break the clinch but brown is controlling him.
Zilic tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and brown avoids it.
brown wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Zilic has picked brown up - he's going for a ride! Zilic dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

brown is looking to control Zilic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can brown avoid being mounted?
brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zilic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zilic's back!

Zilic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Zilic had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. brown is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zilic Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take brown's back instead.
Zilic working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Zilic closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Zilic is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

brown is trying to reverse the position but instead Zilic has taken his back - oops!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
brown covers up after that shot from Zilic.
Zilic lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns brown.

Zilic is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but brown won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Zilic off his unconscious opponent!
