PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes to the cage accompanied by Dayman. Joey Moon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly tries to bum rush Moon with a series of wild strikes but Moon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kelly throws a right and a left that Moon avoids nicely.
Kelly looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Kelly as Moon shoots in.
Kelly misses with a double jab.
Kelly lands with a shot to the body.
Kelly swings for the body but Moon moves out of range.
Kelly lands a lovely overhand right.
Moon fails to land the takedown.
Kelly throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Moon on the side of the head.

Kelly cracks Moon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Moon is rocked!

It looks like Joey Moon has been cut.
Kelly jabs at Moon's body.
Kelly misses with a series of wild punches.
Kelly throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moon.
Moon avoids the body shot from Kelly.
Kelly scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kelly misses with a few strikes there.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Moon was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly.
Moon fails to land with a series of punches.

Moon takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Moon ducks under a wild hook from Kelly.
Kelly lands a nice shot to the body.
Kelly lands a slapping body shot.
Moon looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kelly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Moon at a distance.
Moon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kelly to score with a decent uppercut.
Kelly punishes Moon's body with a nice straight punch.
Moon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Moon is still on wobbly legs! Can Kelly finish him?
Kelly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moon seems to have recovered his senses.

Kelly connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Moon! He's out on his feet! Kelly rushes in and drops Moon with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
