With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Gonzaga!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzaga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chomsky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gonzaga somewhat.
Chomsky paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Christopher Gonzaga has been cut.

Chomsky moves into range and clinches up with Gonzaga.
Chomsky working hard to break the clinch.
Gonzaga can't break the clinch.
Gonzaga tries to land a knee to the head but Chomsky blocks with his arms.
Gonzaga tries to pull guard but Chomsky holds him up against the cage and eventually Gonzaga drops back down to his feet.
Chomsky lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chomsky lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gonzaga prevents Chomsky from breaking the clinch.
Gonzaga looking for a takedown.
Paul Chomsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Gonzaga.
Gonzaga has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chomsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Chomsky lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Gonzaga has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chomsky uses from the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chomsky content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chomsky is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Chomsky seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Paul Chomsky just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Gonzaga clinches but Chomsky breaks the clinch
and Gonzaga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gonzaga doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gonzaga throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chomsky tries a head kick but it misses.
Gonzaga takes a jab right on the kisser.
Paul Chomsky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Chomsky counters by clinching up.
Chomsky dodges an elbow strike from Gonzaga.
Chomsky blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Gonzaga tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chomsky just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gonzaga misses with a knee strike.
Gonzaga can't get the takedown.
Gonzaga looks gassed!

Chomsky is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Gonzaga tries a knee to the head but Chomsky blocks it.
Gonzaga is working for takedown but Chomsky is calmly controlling the position for now.
Chomsky makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Chomsky scores with a shot to the side of Gonzaga's head.
Chomsky wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gonzaga has him pressed against the cage.

Chomsky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gonzaga takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gonzaga moves out of range of the body kick.
Gonzaga throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gonzaga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gonzaga throws a sloppy head kick and Chomsky moves out of range easily.
Chomsky thuds a left hand into Gonzaga's body.
Chomsky cracks Gonzaga with a right hand to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chomsky scores with a jab to the jaw.

That has opened up Christopher Gonzaga's cut even more.
Gonzaga gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Chomsky dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Christopher Gonzaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chomsky flashes Gonzaga a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Gonzaga's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Gonzaga crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Chomsky punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
