The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews tries a head kick but it misses.
Cervantes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matthews misses with the combination.
Cervantes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Glenn Matthews has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cervantes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Matthews clinches with his opponent.

Cervantes tries to circle away but Matthews has him pinned against the cage.

Cervantes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Matthews's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Matthews moves in looking to clinch but Cervantes pushes him off.

Matthews takes the fight into the clinch.
Cervantes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Matthews connects with a nasty looking knee right to Cervantes's face.
Cervantes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Matthews breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cervantes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Matthews.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Matthews looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Matthews takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That has opened up Glenn Matthews's cut even more.
Cervantes throws a right hand that Matthews ducks under and follows up with a left that Matthews also avoids with ease.
Matthews is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Matthews thumps Cervantes with a low kick.

Matthews steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cervantes.

Matthews darts in and clinches Cervantes up against the cage.

Matthews escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The cut above Glenn Matthews's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cervantes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Glenn Matthews's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Cervantes drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Matthews right on the button. Matthews goes down! Cervantes follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Cervantes gets the win via TKO!
