Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boblay Lachlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cornish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lachlay might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ENGLAND BELONGS TO ME. Jeremy Cornish is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Cornish!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornish misses with a looping right.
Cornish throws a looping overhand right but Lachlay ducks down to avoid it.
Lachlay shoots in for a takedown but Cornish shows good takedown defense.
Lachlay takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lachlay drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lachlay wants to stand but Cornish has his arm trapped.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lachlay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lachlay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cornish throws a jab when Lachlay was well out of range.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lachlay tries to clinch there but Cornish circles away.

Lachlay moves in looking to clinch but Cornish pushes him off.
Lachlay misses with a takedown
letting Cornish counter with a right hand.
Cornish scores with a hook to the body. Lachlay takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Lachlay gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cornish makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Cornish postures up in Lachlay's guard and throws a big left but Lachlay blocks it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cornish accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cornish throws a strike but Lachlay rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cornish closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cornish lands in his opponent's guard.

Lachlay suckers Cornish into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Lachlay is now in Cornish's guard!
