Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yonaz Obsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smiff comes to the cage accompanied by New born. Obsen has chosen Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff just misses with a punch to the body.
Obsen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smiff sprawls well. Smiff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Obsen gets slowly back to his feet.
Obsen shoots in but Smiff avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smiff misses with a wild body shot.
Smiff will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smiff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smiff wants it to stay on the feet.
Tony Smiff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yonaz Obsen.
Obsen shoots for a takedown but Smiff saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Obsen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Obsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smiff pinned against the cage. Smiff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smiff throws a low kick, looking for Obsen's leg but Obsen calmly moves out of range.
Obsen tries for a takedown but Smiff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Obsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Obsen stops Smiff from getting back to his feet.

Smiff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Obsen tries to free his leg and advance position but Smiff is retaining full guard.
Obsen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Smiff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Obsen on the ground.

Obsen wants to control from the top but Smiff keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smiff tries to clinch but Obsen is having none of it.

Smiff drops Obsen with a beautiful combination! Obsen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Smiff is looking for the KO!

It looks like Yonaz Obsen has been cut.

Smiff cracks Obsen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smiff has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Obsen to stand back up!

Obsen is rocked!

Smiff misses with a wild combination.
Smiff throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smiff tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Obsen seems to have recovered his senses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smiff tries to clinch but Obsen is having none of it.

Smiff rushes Obsen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smiff scores with a knee to the head.
Smiff lands a nice knee to the body.
Smiff creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Obsen's defenses.
Smiff misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Obsen.
Obsen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smiff smiles and moves away.
Tony Smiff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Obsen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Obsen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Obsen dodges the punch combination from Smiff.

Obsen shoots in and bounces Smiff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Obsen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smiff is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Obsen, into his guard.

Obsen is looking for a triangle but Smiff pushes his legs off easily.

Smiff lands a really nice looking cross but Obsen seems unphased.

Obsen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Smiff has picked Obsen up and slammed him! Obsen can't keep hold of the triangle and Smiff manages to pass to side control!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smiff sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Obsen tries to lock up and control but Smiff gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Obsen is desperately trying to improve his position but Smiff has a good base and remains in mount.

Obsen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Smiff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Obsen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Smiff has his hands clasped together but Obsen extends an breaks Smiff's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Obsen.
