Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Li Fen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osanti Herod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fen comes to the ring accompanied by Its The Final Countdown. The crowd seem to be enjoying Herod's choice of entrance music: Down With The King. Li Fen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herod tries to clinch but Fen is having none of it.
Herod takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Herod tries to clinch up but Fen circles away and keeps his distance.

Herod has managed to clinch.
Fen has had enough of the clinch but Herod keeps him there for the moment.
Fen looking for a takedown.
Fen avoiding damage as Herod throws knees to the body.
A short uppercut from Herod.
Herod lands a body shot.
Herod using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Fen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fen can't get the takedown.
Fen goes for a takedown attempt but Herod pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Li Fen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fen looks to score with a jab to the body but Herod is just out of range.
Fen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Herod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Herod lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Li Fen has been cut.
Herod fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fen shoots for a takedown but Herod saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fen looking for a guillotine from mount but Herod is having none of it.
Fen is breathing heavily.
Herod tries to lock up and control but Fen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fen fails to advance to Herod's back.
Herod can't escape the position.
Herod manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Herod, under a barage of strikes from Fen.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Fen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Herod is controlling Fen's trapped leg to prevent Fen from advancing to side control.

Herod wants to control but Fen is having none of it.
Fen seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Herod is holding on tight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Herod tries to hold on but Fen postures up.
Herod manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Herod is pressing down on Fen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Herod bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fen's guard.
Herod lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fen is trying to keep Herod in close.
Fen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Herod is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Herod's back instead.

Fen working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Herod is trying to defend against the choke here but Fen has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Fen Tightens the hold and Herod taps out furiously! Fen displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
