Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Wilhelm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trainius Reckus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trainius Reckus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trainius Reckus!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reckus is defended easily by Wilhelm.

Reckus scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reckus looking for a guillotine from mount but Wilhelm is having none of it.
Reckus prevents Wilhelm from getting the reversal.

Reckus is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wilhelm can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wilhelm wants to control but Reckus is having none of it.
Wilhelm is wriggling around trying to escape.

Reckus goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Wilhelm is on top in guard.

Reckus wants to sweep here but Wilhelm controlling him for the moment.

Wilhelm decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Reckus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wilhelm throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wilhelm thuds his right hand into Reckus's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Wilhelm has managed to clinch.
Reckus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wilhelm walks away with a smile on his face. Reckus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gregor Wilhelm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trainius Reckus.

Wilhelm has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Reckus is looking to sweep but instead, Wilhelm has passed into half guard.
Reckus wants to get back to full guard but Wilhelm has mounted him!

Wilhelm gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reckus checks a leg kick.
Wilhelm tries to clinch but Reckus moves out of range.

Wilhelm looks for the body kick but Reckus saw that one coming.
Wilhelm clobbers Reckus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Wilhelm throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Wilhelm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reckus drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reckus doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Reckus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilhelm smiles and moves away.
Wilhelm moves in looking to clinch but Reckus pushes him off.

Wilhelm misses with a body kick.
Reckus misses with a takedown
and Wilhelm connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wilhelm jabs at Reckus's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wilhelm lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Reckus can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Wilhelm and Reckus drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Wilhelm.
