The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneill moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Smoot avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oneill throws a right and a left that Smoot avoids nicely.
Smoot misses with a double jab
and Oneill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oneill stalks Smoot and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smoot's face. Smoot staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Fred Smoot has been cut.

and Smoot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Oneill looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oneill lands with a straight right. Smoot didn't see that one coming.
Good leg kick by Smoot there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Smoot counters with a head kick that drops Oneill!

Oneill is rocked!
Oneill keeping moving, preventing Smoot from controlling successfully.
Oh Oneill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smoot is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Oneill seems to have got his legs back now.

Smoot is looking to take a break and control but Oneill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Smoot wants to pass to mount but Oneill is defending the position.

Oneill pushes Smoot off looking to stand but Smoot dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smoot circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Oneill drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Smoot follows Oneill to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
