The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Malcovich's waist but Malcovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vlad off to one side.
Malcovich ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Malcovich lands the left hand.
Malcovich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Malcovich lands a big right hand that sends Vlad crashing to the mat! Malcovich stays standing though and waves Vlad back to his feet!

It looks like Gibki Vlad has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vlad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Malcovich connects with a right hand. Vlad shakes it off.
Vlad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Malcovich pinned against the cage. Malcovich gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vlad looks gassed!
A combination from Malcovich does no damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vlad is defended easily by Malcovich.
John Malcovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gibki Vlad.
Vlad fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Vlad takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Malcovich lands a big uppercut and Vlad crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vlad looks OK. Malcovich waves Vlad back to his feet!

Malcovich lands a brutal uppercut that launches Vlad off his feet! Vlad tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
