Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
r shoots for a takedown but Roice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The crowd cheers as Roice lands an impressive looking overhand right. r doesn't seem phased though.

r looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

r is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Roice tries to roll over but r keeps him under control.

r wants to work for an arm triangle but Roice is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

r is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roice doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time r.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Roice ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

r tries to keep at a distance but Roice has taken the fight into the clinch.

Roice turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Roice manages to end up in side control.

Roice decides to stand back up. Roice steps back and let's r get back to his feet.

Roice throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Roice moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Roice gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Roice goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Roice tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but r swivels and escapes.
r shoots and misses

and Roice moves into the clinch.

r is pressed up against the cage. Roice has hold of a leg and is looking to drag r down to the mat. r avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

r closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Roice to the mat! Roice manages to get full guard.

r drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roice dives on top into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

r postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Roice is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of r, into his guard.

Roice wants to get up but he can't break r's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

r had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Roice is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. r Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Roice's back instead.

r is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Roice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with r. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
