PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hade Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes into the arena with Mama Said Knock You Out blaring out of the sound system. Flash Gordon struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wood.
Wood takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Wood tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wood makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wood.

Wood uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wood throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gordon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wood is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gordon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wood is controlling him.
