Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Angelo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Angelo's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That's time! Angelo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Horrible takedown by Angelo or perhaps it was just good defense by Parker which made him look bad.

Parker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Angelo as he avoids it easily.

Angelo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Angelo lands in his opponent's guard.

Angelo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Parker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Angelo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Parker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Parker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Angelo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parker has managed to get both his arms back between Angelo's legs - danger averted.

Angelo shoots in looking for a takedown. Parker tries to sprawl out of it but Angelo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Parker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Angelo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Parker. That's going to slow Angelo down.

Angelo feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, Angelo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mike Angelo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Angelo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Parker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Parker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Parker!

Parker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Angelo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Angelo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Angelo somewhat.
Angelo leaves Parker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Angelo feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, Angelo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Angelo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Parker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Parker has escaped and now he's on top!

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Parker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Parker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Angelo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Angelo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Parker is looking to improve his position but Angelo isn't that keen on the idea.
Angelo moves to the back position.
Parker rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Angelo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Parker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Angelo circles away quickly and effectively.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Angelo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Parker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Angelo has control of Parker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Parker regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brandon Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Angelo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
