Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sir Topham Hatt!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatt moves forwards but Neilson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kevin Neilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hatt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Neilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Neilson closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Sir Topham Hatt has been cut.
Neilson misses with an uppercut. Hatt saw that one coming.
Hatt misses with a wild combination.

Hatt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hatt wants to control from the top but Neilson keeps moving.

Neilson kicks Hatt off and gets to his feet.
Hatt thuds his right hand into Neilson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neilson throws out a loose jab but Hatt uses good head movement to avoid it.

Neilson scores with a decent looking hook.
Neilson takes a swing at Hatt's ribcage but misses.
Neilson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hatt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Neilson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Neilson cracks Hatt with a right hand to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neilson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hatt, as that shot connected.
Hatt needs to keep his hands up - Neilson had a free shot at his head there.
Neilson punishes Hatt's body with a nice straight punch.

Hatt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Neilson is fending him off so far but Hatt persists. Nope, Neilson circles away and we're back to standing.

Kevin Neilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hatt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Neilson digs a good hook to Hatt's body.
Neilson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hatt counters with a one-two to the body.
Hatt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Neilson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Neilson wants to clinch but Hatt slips to the side
and Hatt counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Neilson thinking.
Neilson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hatt on the side of the head.
Neilson slips a straight right by Hatt.
Neilson cracks a nice hook into Hatt's ribs.
Hatt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hatt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Neilson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hatt was well out of range. Poor timing from Neilson.
Hatt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Neilson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hatt dives in and grabs Neilson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neilson pushes down on Hatt's head and hops out.
Neilson digs a good hook to Hatt's body.
Neilson lands a jab.


The cut above Sir Topham Hatt's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Neilson looks to land a combination. Hatt sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Neilson connects with the punch.
Hatt has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Neilson scores with a three punch combo!
Hatt is still on wobbly legs! Can Neilson finish him?
Neilson lands a lovely overhand right.

Neilson closes the distance and clinches.
Hatt takes an elbow to the temple.


Sir Topham Hatt's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hatt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Neilson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hatt seems to have recovered his senses.
Kevin Neilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sir Topham Hatt.

Neilson breaks from the clinch.
Neilson scores with a jab to the body.
A combination from Neilson does no damage.
Neilson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Neilson throws a series of punches but Hatt avoids them all with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice defenses there by Hatt.
Hatt moves forwards but Neilson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Nice straight punches there by Neilson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Neilson.
Neilson wants to clinch.

Neilson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hatt!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hatt wants to control but Neilson is having none of it.
Neilson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hatt can do to turn this around?
Neilson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hatt is looking to escape.
Neilson wants to control but Hatt has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neilson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hatt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
