Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chase McCreary!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCreary pinned against the cage. McCreary gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brewer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brewer throwing strikes but missing.
Brewer passes McCreary's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
McCreary is trying to stand up here but Brewer is controlling him well.

Brewer is looking for a kimura but McCreary is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brewer to get the leverage.

Brewer is working for a submission of some sort.
McCreary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brewer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brewer is working for a kimura but McCreary is defending it quite comfortably.

Brewer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McCreary is just riding it out for now. Brewer eventually gives up the hold.

Brewer is looking to advance position but McCreary won't allow it.
Brewer thows a huge punch but McCreary dodges it nicely.

Brewer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Brewer missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McCreary looks like he's trying to stand up.
Brewer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
McCreary scores with a shot to the body.
Brewer closes the distance and clinches up with McCreary, looking for a takedown. Brewer pushes McCreary against the cage but McCreary circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chase McCreary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCreary moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Brewer goes down! Can McCreary finish him!?


Brewer is rocked!
Brewer looking for a sweep. Not yet Brewer, not yet.
Oh Brewer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McCreary must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brewer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McCreary has passed into side control.
Brewer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on McCreary's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Brewer seems to have got his legs back now.

Brewer gets back to full guard.

Brewer has his foot on McCreary's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCreary works his way back into a safe position though.
Brewer wants to sweep here but McCreary controlling him for the moment.
McCreary trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brewer's guard.
Brewer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Brewer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brewer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Brewer looking for a guillotine here but McCreary defends easily.
Brewer wants to sweep here but McCreary controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brewer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McCreary wanted to stand there but Brewer had control of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McCreary is sitting in close to Brewer's body. Brewer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McCreary is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McCreary is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brewer.
