Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between kyle connelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Trent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JB Trent is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, kyle connelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
connelly fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from connelly.
Trent lands with a kick to the temple. connelly shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Trent closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Trent prevents connelly from improving his position.

Trent looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Trent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with connelly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Trent has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics connelly uses from the top position.

connelly drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Trent manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now connelly has Trent in his guard.

JB Trent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Trent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
