Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genco Taico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Krujcek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taico's entrance music is Apaga, mas não bate. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genco Taico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksander Krujcek!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krujcek swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Taico takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Taico on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A jab from Krujcek does it's job there.
Krujcek fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Taico looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Krujcek is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Krujcek lands with a hook. Taico tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Taico fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Krujcek fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Taico on the side of the head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Krujcek, right into the meat.
Krujcek lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Krujcek connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Aleksander Krujcek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Taico shoots in but no luck this time.

Taico takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Krujcek connects with a good right hand that stumbles Taico. Taico circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Krujcek throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Genco Taico is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Krujcek tries to clinch but Taico is having none of it.

Aleksander Krujcek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Taico tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Taico connects with a nice short shot to Krujcek's temple.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krujcek can do anything to dispel that myth.
