Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Sober (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floyd Maywetherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sober's entrance music is Pantera - Walk. A fine choice. Floyd Maywetherr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Floyd Maywetherr!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sober clinches.
Maywetherr looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Maywetherr lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Maywetherr is pressed up against the cage. Sober has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maywetherr down to the mat. Maywetherr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sober closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

and Sober counters with a big head kick but Maywetherr shrugs it off.

Sober takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Maywetherr pushes Sober off looking to stand but Sober dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sober in particular looking to stall.

Sober decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Sober feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sober gets to his feet - Maywetherr follows without any prompting.

Sober has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Maywetherr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sober manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maywetherr manages to get himself to full guard.

Sober seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Sober is looking for a triangle here but Maywetherr uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Sober bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maywetherr's guard.
Maywetherr has momentary wrist control but Sober slips an elbow through the middle.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Sober shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Sober is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Maywetherr is surviving well by controlling Sober's body position as best he can.
Maywetherr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
